Dasher Insurance Agency has been doing business in Springfield, Georgia since 1995. We are proud to provide insurance and financial services to thousands of individuals and businesses in Southeast Georgia. We are a small town, locally owned business that believes in going above and beyond to give our clients the service they deserve. We are a full-service agency offering insurance for your home, auto, farm, and business needs, as wells as life, disability, and long term care insurance. For more than four decades, Dasher Insurance Agency has been proud to serve the families and businesses of Effingham County. Founded by Billy Dasher and now transitioning to the next generation of leadership, our agency remains committed to the same values of service, trust, and community involvement that it was built upon.
Meet the Team
Brittany Dasher
Agency Manager
Agent - Personal, Commercial, & Life
Brittany is the daughter of Billy and was raised in Effingham County. She graduated from Effingham County High School in 2004 before attending Georgia Southern University. Following in her father’s footsteps, Brittany joined the family agency after graduating from GSU and has been an agent at Dasher Insurance since 2010.

Like her father, Brittany is deeply involved in the community. She is a graduate of the Leadership Effingham Class of 2014 and the Republican Leadership for Georgia Class of 2017. She currently serves on the Springfield Downtown Development Authority and the Effingham County 4-H Program Development Board. Over the years, she has also served on the Mars Theatre Historic Restoration Board and the Effingham County Zoning & Ordinance Stakeholder Committee. She is actively involved in local politics as well, and has served as Chair of the Effingham County GOP for the past 15 years.​

As Billy transitions into semi-retirement, Brittany is gradually taking on a larger leadership role within the agency and is honored to carry on the family tradition of serving the community through Dasher Insurance Agency.

W.S. (Billy) Dasher Jr. was born and raised in Effingham County and graduated from Effingham County High School in 1970 before attending Georgia Southern University. Billy has been serving the insurance needs of local families and businesses for more than 40 years. He began his career with Georgia Farm Bureau before opening Dasher Insurance Agency in 1996.

As a small business owner, Billy has always been deeply involved in the Effingham County community. He is a charter member of the Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club, a past President, and a three-time Paul Harris Fellow recipient. He has also been named Rotarian of the Year multiple times. In addition, he is a past President of the Lions Club and has served on the Effingham Agriculture Advisory Council, the Rotary Club Scholarship Committee, and the Young Farmers Scholarship Committee.

In recent years, Billy has transitioned to a part-time role with the agency and is enjoying semi-retirement while remaining involved in the business he built.
